Research reveals that people with systemic lupus erythematosus, or lupus, know it is a life-long battle of illness. People with lupus are also at an increased risk for osteoporosis. What most people don’t know is how the disease will treat them as they grow older. Studies suggest a rise in bone loss and fractures in people with lupus. In fact, women with lupus may be five times more likely to have a fracture from osteoporosis.
"We test people with lupus for free at our center in Manhattan Beach, and they know in 10 minutes, whether or not our NRCT™ works for them," explained Dr. Leuschen.
"I understand the pain that these people suffer, and if I can make one person’s life better or more comfortable, it’s the least that I can do she said.
